Youth ART Class by Sue Marrazzo

The following photos are from my The Nature of ART Class for youth at the Art Center School and Galleries. The art lesson was on pointillism.

This is using DOTS to create a painting.

The students used acrylic paints, and used q-tips, paintbrushes, erasers, and marker lids to make dots. They found a landscape picture for inspiration....and the final paintings turned out Fabulous!

THIS ONE, I STARTED WITH THE IMAGE OF THE WOMAN AND EVERYTHING ELSE FELL INTO PLACE.

I LOVE THE RETRO FEEL OF THIS COLLAGE, TOO!

The Opening Reception by Sue Marrazzo

Just an art update--

On Friday, April 19 was the opening reception for the new show at Gallery at Second. The artists are Thom Glace, Ted Walke, Sue Marrazzo, (me).

The Gallery had a great turnout that night, rain and all! Thank you for all the support and kind words from all the ART LOVERS who came to the opening. If you have a chance to stop by... the show runs until June 1, 2013.

ART Class for the Brownies by Sue Marrazzo

Today, I taught an ART Class for one of the local Brownie Troops for their ART badge. The students were EXPERIMENTAL MIXED MEDIA ABSTRACT ARTISTS for the class. They painted, collaged, stamped, and more.

It was a great class of Brownies, who followed directions to a T!

Youth Mixed Media Art Class by Sue Marrazzo

Last night in my Mixed Media Art Class for youth we accomplished three art projects. We were Experimental Mixed Media Artists. We experimented with new supplies, dripped, painted and more. Here are a few photos representing some of the work that we did in class. We did a large mixed media Floral Painting with a palette knife, a spray bottle, acrylics, ink, stamps, acrylic mediums and more. Also we worked in our mixed media ART journals and used acrylic paint, ink, stamps, alcohol, sponges, and more.

The colors were bright and the results were AWESOME!
