I have been working on canvas over the past year. I decided to work on cold press heavyweight water media paper, again. I am building layers and experimenting with acrylics, acrylic mediums, and water. Here I am creating some depth with color. So far, I have about 4 painting sessions put into this painting. 

Today, I used Golden Quinacridone Nickel Azo Gold Liquid Acrylic Paint, Daler Rowney Pearlescent Liquid Acrylic Ink in Galaxy Blue, and Golden Open Acrylic Paint in Ultramarine Blue. Here I am showing you what I have done today. It's been great working with some new paints and ink. Everything is still wet...Take a look at what is developing. It's been so much fun! I know I still have work to do...on another day. I will post the finished Acrylic Painting in the near future!

On Friday night I stopped by GALLERY AT SECOND and took in the new art exhibit.  I recently had an individual art exhibit at this gallery. It was one of the best experiences to date in my art career.  I have had 100% support from the gallery owners from day one.

The photos above and below were taken at my local florist with my malfunctioning older camera. I wanted to share these photos...since I am still inspired by the bold color of the orchids and the smears and lines that showed up on the photos.  I plan on using these for reference in the near future.  This is called INSPIRATION and it can be found anywhere, and when you least expect it. As an artist we tend to see the world differently and observe our surroundings more. It is a beautiful thing to share in our artwork!

This painting hangs in my Mom's dining room. I was over at her home on July 4th, and my son took this photo to share on my blog.  This was the very beginning of my painting with acrylics years ago. I realized how far I have come.  I have taken many art classes and workshops since then.  I have learned so much from so many good teachers. Also, I have such great support from family, galleries, art associations, students, and so much more.
 I am an ARTIST and I LOVE what I do! 

Sue Marrazzo Accepted into The 15th Annual ISAP International Exhibition

I have been accepted into the 
15th Annual International Society of Acrylic Painters Exhibition, 
July 12- August 12, 2012 in Paso Robles, CA. Last year I received my signature status with ISAP.  I took my Artwork to Pat Craig Studios in Carlisle, PA. (shown above) and Pat wired it for me right away.  If you are ever in Carlisle...check this place out on Pomfret St.  It's an eclectic mix of fun stuff, and she is a framer, too! Then it was off to my local UPS Store to pack and ship everything to Paso Robles, CA. Thank you for your kind service at UPS.  Below I have a close-up of a segment of the painting that is on it 's way to CALIFORNIA! I wish I was going with my ART!  I will reveal the ISAP link to view the whole show when it is available. There are 65 artists in this Art Show.

Sue Marrazzo Art Exhibit at the Carlisle Area Chamber of Commerce

As of Friday, I have a Solo ART Exhibit for July - August 2012 at the Greater Carlisle Area Chamber of Commerce.  There are 12 pieces of my ART...there's mixed media, acrylic and photography included in one venue.  It's an eclectic artsy mix.  Thank you Cathy from CALC and Michelle from the Chamber of Commerce for your kind support of the arts.  If you are in Carlisle, PA check it out.  Stop by CALC, it's right down the street.  I currently have 6 small mixed media works at CALC.
