Another Look into ART Camp #1 by Sue Marrazzo

I'd like to share a few more photos from the last day of the Art Camp that I taught this week. The lesson was an abstract painting. The students picked their colors, used a brayer and learned how to make drips with paint. Take a look at these paintings done in class....They will be hung up in each of their homes, and enjoyed for many years!

Youth Art Camp #1 by Sue Marrazzo

Take a LOOK...Below are some photos that I took today of my students with their MIXED MEDIA Self-Portraits. I am teaching a one-week Youth Painting Class at the ART CENTER SCHOOL AND GALLERIES OF MECHANICSBURG, PA.  The students created their ART in 3 steps. First they collaged the background with torn papers, then painted their face, neck, hair and shoulders, and last they drew their facial features with a sharpie. 

The end result is AWESOME!!!!

 They were all HAPPY with their Paintings!

This is a NEW experimental art piece. I used a vintage found image, spray paint, a found object, acrylic medium, and a found frame. I gifted this to a fellow art teacher who liked it. She said she will share this with her students.

 So it will be appreciated!

THIS IS A COLLAGE THAT WAS MADE WITH FOUND PAPERS, ACRYLIC PAINT AND FOUND OBJECTS ALL ON A CANVAS. I GIFTED THIS ART PIECE TO AN ART FAN. SHE WAS TICKLED AND TOLD ME SHE WAS GOING TO HANG IT IN HER LIVING ROOM, SO SHE CAN LOOK AT IT! SHE WAS A FELLOW ARTIST AND IT MADE ME FEEL GOOD TO SHARE OUR LOVE OF MIXED MEDIA ART!

Saving Love by Sue Marrazzo

This collage was made with found papers, and found objects on canvas. I used a gloss medium over top of the papers, that is why there is a glare in the photo. It was a collage that came easy. I always liked red, white, and black together. It's one of those striking color combos. 

It recently went home with a new owner.

This mixed media art work is going to a good home this week. 

Summer Collective was done with found papers, acrylics, image transfers, ink, mediums, and more. It is colorful, and reminds me of a quilt.
