"Dreams in the Distance" by Sue Marrazzo

DAY #25: 30 PAINTINGS IN 30 DAYS

This is my 25th mixed media painting for the January painting challenge. The INSPIRATION for this painting was a piece of fabric. I liked the colors, texture, and shapes. I also used a little of new paint color: violet.
Take a look at #25:

 Title: "Dreams in the Distance"

Substrate: Canvas Panel
Size: 8" x 10"

  2. Abstract View

    In my imaginary
    abstract mind I'm looking through
    the window of a beachside
    summer home, over the sea,
    out to the abstract beyond
    and I say aloud,
    or perhaps it is
    to myself, "Oh, hi,
    hello Violet,
    you're new around her."

    (And while writing this
    your comment on my
    Pear Snowed In arrived,
    serendipity.)

  6. Hi Sue - when I look at this painting, it reminds me of glass - the kind of upscale 'room divider' glass in an ultra-posh building. I imagine the muted subjects behind...neat painting!
