The Blues By Sue Marrazzo

Here is an original encaustic painting created for a themed show, "The Blues." After the show, I gifted this painting as a "thank you" to my son's doctor.
He took very good care of my son...and I was very thankful.
Dr. K told me it will be in his office. Take a look...

In my Spring Youth Mixed Media Art Class, we created ATC (Artist Trading Cards). These are only 2.5" x 3.5"! These were created using hand-painted papers, gel medium and a sharpie. I created these along with the students.
They are abstract and fun!

Walt Whitman By Sue Marrazzo

This collage pays homage to a famous man and poet....Walt Whitman. I create this collage with hand-painted papers, wallpaper, dictionary pages, vintage magazine papers, a found envelope, 3 postage stamps, other found papers, acrylic paint, buttons and a vintage matchbook cover. This collage came together very easily.
A quote to ponder by Walt Whitman...
"Keep your face always toward the sunshine--and shadows will fall behind you."

I recently SOLD this collage ornament. What's cool about this creation is that it is JUNE and I sold an ornament as a birthday gift! This is a one-of-a-kind collage created with junk mail, foreign newsprint, book pages, acrylic paint, found objects, glitter, and a foreign postage stamp.

I currently have a Solo Community Art Exhibit at Belco Credit Union, Harrisburg, PA. I hung 11 works of art in this exhibit. There are a variety of mediums: acrylic, mixed media and encaustic painting.   Here is just one of the offices with a new painting entitled: "Shimmering Sunset." This piece is a mixed media work. It has a lot of "fire" in person. The colors really went well with the decor and look in this business. My art will be on display and for sale now-until Aug. 31, 2014.

This is an ATC (Artist Trading Card) created using all junk mail, gold ink and found textured gold paper.
The final touch was a glaze made with gloss medium and a sheer pigment powder.
The effect reminded me of a dreamy look.
Hence, the name "Dreaming."
